Hi, I’m Zoe…
This is me, aged about 11, just before I came to Perth with my family. We travelled from England where I was born in Birmingham and grew up in Harpole, a small green village between Northampton and the M1.
Travelling took me from a village far from the sea in England to a city on the edges of the Indian Ocean. In 2000, I arrived at the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
Now I call Maroubra home, living here with my husband, two children and our dog since 2007.
England has old magic. Australia and the spirit of Indigenous cultures intrigue me, although they are less familiar. So, to Australia, I carried the magic of Callowell – the hill just beyond my back fence where I danced with my friends in Harpole. Mixing this magic, the feeling of this land and the experience of Ayahuasca (plant medicine) in the jungle of Peru has sparked something in me.
The light bulb lit up within me as I travelled these spirit worlds and explored aromatherapy, Reiki and the intuitive arts. I began to see how my wonderful childhood became adulthood with its share of challenges, pain and insecurity. I learned that beliefs arrived quietly as I navigated workplace demands and an extended family split across the world.
After soul searching for many years, I recognised my foundations and how I can sustain traditions, love and support within myself, my family and my broader community. Through this journey, I discovered my commitment to healing.
Professionally, I link my experiences in art, graphic design and working with people in the community sector, in a particular way. I recognise people’s vulnerability and feel when their energy is depleted or stagnant. I listen to stories but also sense a person’s stress, happiness, connection and disconnection.
Knowing we all have the power within us to heal, I offer an ear, someone who can listen, understand and respect. Simply asking the right question at the right time can allow us to find answers ourselves.
My passion is for healing that finds better feeling rather than a recipe for feeling better. My hobby that began with the magic of Callowell has become a profession that works with the senses and emotions to support others to self-heal.
So here I am now. A mother, wife, a businesswoman, a holistic kinesiologist. But I am so much more than that.
I tell my own story. I cry, laugh, feel drained and challenged. But I live my truth and when I’m not I look inside with curiosity to understand me better.
My life has led me to this moment. I am the founder of Zode Kinesiology; living and working my dream. Finding ways to open my heart and share who I am and what I do with others.
I trust that one day we will connect….for the simple reason that you are here now reading this. So that connection has already been made and it’s just a matter of time. I look forward to meeting you soon.
…Ten Facts of being Zoe Jack
I love people. Supporting them to find their light bulb moment which connects the dots into who they are and how they live their life. Why? Because this opens the door to a deep connection to yourself and that’s where the magic of healing becomes a reality. It was with this understanding that I became a Holistic Kinesiologist and Liquid Crystal Practitioner, enabling me to work intuitively with people; just like you, so you can find that moment of understanding yourself to the core and opening you up to self heal.
I was born in Birmingham, England (not a fun fact!) but soon moved to a village called Harpole. I arrived in Perth in 1978. It was a magnificent adventure.
Once in Perth, Western Australia I often went to school without shoes. I loved that! And I still prefer being bare foot. Feeling and connecting to the earth below. I regularly work bare foot in clinic; its all about grounding baby!
I have fallen in and out of love, dog sat, travelled a bit, broken two bones and played a lot of sport. I’m more of a morning person and I love beach sunrises.
I have dabbled in intuitive arts. Taking up Reiki, channelling, transmogrification (ask me about it when you meet me!), aromatherapy, crystals and card readings. This sparked something in me that I couldn’t put my finger on. Could a hobby become a profession?
In 2000 I moved to Sydney to work with the Olympics and Paralympics. I’ve had a myriad of jobs; a pancake cook, babysitter, Graphic Designer, Recreation Officer and managed not-for-profit organisations working with disadvantaged people, people with intellectual disabilities and in community development and events.
Stress at work resulted in me seeing a hypnotherapist/kinesiologist. I quit my job and studied the dual diploma of Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine at the College of Complementary Medicine. My passion became my profession. How blessed am I that what I do for a job is what stirs my soul and lights my internal fires.
In 2018 I took a trip to Peru to work with Ayahusca. This plant medicine exposes the gap between who you think you are and who you actually are. Confronting, comforting and a wonderfully embracing experience of solitude mixed with a healthy dose of like-minded souls. It was in Peru I realised my calling is to connect people with their own self healing, through their senses.
I love my coffee and wine, walks along the beach and yoga. Talking with my husband is a joy and fills me with love. My kids challenge and inspire me. Our dog; Ooni is a joyful nutter. Zen-doodling takes me to a different zone and I actually like doing housework; yes its true!
I often think about the future. But I also know it will unfold in its own precious way. So I believe all I need to do is trust, sit back and enjoy this journey we call life….and I hope you do too. Maybe we will connect one day.
KINESIOLOGY COULD BE RIGHT FOR YOU…
Your story may be very different to mine. But the commonality of life, choice and trust may just bind us together in a way that neither of us have even thought of yet. You may be feeling overwhelmed or have your own "what if" story that you live your life by. Maybe your sleep patterns, health and energy levels are all over the place. Perhaps the worry you have for the safety and health of your family, your finances or the future ties you in knots and then shows itself in your physical, mental or emotional bodies.
Maybe, just maybe, kinesiology is a modality that you would connect with. Its nurturing and gentle approach places you as the one in charge of your life. It will show you that you can do it. You can take charge, put yourself first and all those balls in the air will align. Trusting this process could just be what brings you balance, simplicity, health and happiness.
I work with children & teens aged 5 - 17 focusing on settling their nervous system, balancing their gut, improving brain function and learning ability and raising their self esteem, confidence and resilience.
I work with adults to balance the nervous system, raise energy levels, reduce overwhelm and stress and apply this to your physical, emotional and mental bodies.
This may be the first step to a precious moment where both you and I get that rare opportunity to teach and learn from each other.
I look forward to connecting soon.
